Brokenness replaced with wholeness.

Devotional done by Ess-Jee Rautenbach from stand for your marriage.org

Specially written for A&J Awareness Projects

So many people go through divorce or marriage separation in our society we live in. In most marriages things just seem hopeless and there is no where one can run to for help. Marriages have become disposable and if your marriage has developed in a non working part, one will simply cut ones losses and find a newer model.

There are so many people that are walking among us who are carrying guilt, shame and brokenness, this is just some of the effects of divorce. Divorce is not only the killer of marriages, but the killer of families and the destroyer of our society.

But there is Hope; our God is a God of restoration and reconciliation. For God loved the world so much that He gave His only son to die for us, so that we could be reconciled with Him. God instituted and ordained marriage, but marriages attacked by satan, who hates marriage.

Jesus can and will resurrect any dead marriage. He showed us His power when He defeated death and was raised up to be seated at the right hand of God.

So in short, the same power what conquered death lives in you, the only thing that really ended was hopelessness. The Lord said in His word, that the only sacrifice He wants is a humble and repented heart, He will not reject.

Give your sorrows and anxieties to our Lord and He will give you His wholeness in place of your brokenness. God does heal hurting marriages, put your trust in Him and you will never be disappointed.
