waiting

  • Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
    Psalm 27:14
    (NIV)
  • Gen 49:18 “For Your salvation I wait, O LORD.
  • Psa 25:5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
  • Psa 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You.
  • Psa 27:14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
  • Psa 37:7 Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

While I was driving from a men’s fellowship last night, the Lord shared an awesome truth with me. Many of us get caught in situations where we make harsh decisions based on our feelings and certain emotions. Instead, our first reaction should be to hear what God is saying. Most of us never get to that point and before we can help we are in a bigger mess. I can guarantee that if we seek God first for help in our marriages, He will intervene and give us wisdom on what to do in every situation. Unfortunately many of us justify our actions, and try to find our own solutions to our problems. Imagine how the body of Christ would look if we searched for God’s solutions to our problems and not follow our own limited visions or plans.

Rom 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

God is telling us to JUST WAIT, JUST WAIT ON ME AND HAVE PATIENCE WHILE I’M HEALING YOU AND YOUR MARRIAGE. Will you trust your Lord to work a miracle for you and your family? Will you take that step in faith and say; Lord I trust You and I will patiently wait for You to move in my hurting and dead marriage.

Can I remind you that your broken marriage was not the first relationship in this situation? Let’s go back some 6000 years, where Adam and Eve was deceived and tricked into believing that there were better things to do and know about, outside that which God had commanded and blessed them with. After they fell into temptation and into sin, I believe God had a plan to be reconciled with His bride. His plan was Jesus. God offered His only son so that we could be reconciled with Him today.

1Th 1:10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.

God has a plan B for you and your marriage. Marriage completes the ministry of reconciliation. Jesus will heal and restore, but the question is, will you sacrifice yourself and your entire life to Him and wait for Him to bring your spouse back no matter how long it may take? Be bold and trust your God for your outcome. The Word says that those who put their trust in the Lord will not be put to shame but will be glorified with the son. WOW, what a promise. Do you believe it? Please be patient with God and your spouse, they will return on God’s timing. All you have to do is trust and obey.

1Co 4:5 Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will come to him from God.

The mourning may last for the night, but the joy comes with the morning.

Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
