L.O.V.E.

Proverbs 30:18-19
There are three things that amaze me—
no, four things that I don’t understand:
how an eagle glides through the sky,
how a snake slithers on a rock,
how a ship navigates the ocean,
how a man loves a woman.
(NLT)

Today I’m going to explain what love really stands for, exploring the word Love in a more deeper and enriching way.

The Symbol L stands for length

To love someone , most people think it’s fast and furious , you meet someone , you fall in love , each of them develop feelings for each other, they get engaged and then marries , they get children, sjo , no wonder our relationships  have no endurance when it comes to trial and tribulations. Were so focused on our feelings and the wedding day that we forget about our spiritual growth with our Heavenly father. The foundation we lay down from right at the beginning of our relationship sets the tone for what will happen when a tsunami of circumstances hit us. Will the relationship be still standing or will it be like a sand castle, washed away with the 1st big wave crashing into the beach.

Love is more like a marathon and not a 100 meter sprint.

1 Corinthians 13

Love is patient

You need to have patience and endurance to love someone like Christ love the human race.

The symbol O stands for live

If you think of the letter O, most words associated with the letter O is all to do with blood groups and oxygen etc. So you need something in your relationship to give you constant oxygen , you need a vessel like blood to supply your love  bucket for your loved one with constant pure love oxygen.

If your relationship don’t get enough of the right kind of love oxygen , then the fire between you and your beloved will deter ate to a suffocating smoke. What is the secret ingredient of the love oxygen well lets look at this scripture:

1 John 3:16
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
(NIV)

Love oxygen is Christ love that is already in us, we need His love to overflow in us so that His love will overflow to our loved ones and friends.

John 7:38

As Scripture says, 'Streams of living water will flow from deep within the person who believes in me.'"

The symbol V stands for Victory

If you love your beloved like Christ loved the church you already have victory in your relationship because nothing in this world can stand against the love of a person from a pure heart. True Love (Unconditional Love) gives birth to great Hopes and dreams.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
(NIV)

Proverbs 10:12
Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.
(NIV)

Proverbs 17:9
Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.
(NLT)

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
(NIV)

Song of Solomon 4:10
How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much more pleasing is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume than any spice!
(NIV)

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
(NIV)

Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
(NIV)

Ephesians 5:33
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
(NIV)

Colossians 3:14
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
(NIV)

1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
(NIV)

The symbol E stands for Everlasting

Love came from God, God is love, the love he gave us is a love that will never come to an end; it’s a eternal love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (NIV)
