Light Up Your Candle

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:16

In the world we live in, it seems that there are not many light carriers left. The Darkness is every were and peoples hope is decreasing everyday, if you listen to the news it seems that there are no hope for us as humans. But what happened were are the Light.

Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world.  He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”  John 8:12

“I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me, should not abide in darkness.”  John 12:46

Why is it  that most people is just living for them self’s and what they want, Why is it that we will do anything to get what we want if it also means to trample over other people in the process, to get what we want. I’ve seen it many times with my own eye’s that a man who has nothing , he is living on the street and don’t have anything to eat or have no place to stay, and he will asked us for money, and most of us will just turn our heads away or will make if we don’t even see him asking for something. What did Jesus say other this matter?

Deut. 15:7.

If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers, in any of the towns of the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand to your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks.

Mt. 5:42.

Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.

1 John 3:17.

But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Dear brother and sister let asked the Lord to open our hands, let’s start giving out more of our money to the needy. We are so afraid that our money will never make it till the end of the month or we want to safe till “we have enough one day”.

Let’s start trusting the Lord for our financial needs and not trust on our own abilities.

The Lord showed me a while back that one persons actions can make a huge difference to the world, I know what your thinking now ,”how can little person like me change anything in this world, I cant even live my own life right”

Last weekend I was at Christmas carols with candle light, it was so beautiful but what I saw was so amazing, the Preacher in front started to preach about the Living Word what became flesh and How He Jesus gave Him self freely for us, so that we can life in total victory today , when he was near the end of his message one person in the crowd took His candle and raised it High into the air and started praising God. It didn’t matter to him what people thought of Him He was Glorifying God with his action.

Suddenly another person lifted his candle and another and another and another. Before you could say sjo, the whole crowd lifted their candles and praised God.

This one person who had the boldness to stand up for His God, at the beginning looked like a wack-how, but at the end He was the Faith hero who started a ripple affect.

Matthew 5:13 – 16

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Will you be bold enough to start a ripple effect for your God. Will you dare to be different and Stand up for God and His standards? Lets all go back a thew 1000 years and remember that Jesus was born for us ,He lived a selfless obedient life and died a horrific death, so that me and you can Life in His presence and Glory.

May you remember that today is not about what you can get from someone, its noting to do with Christmas trees or a man with a red suite, today is about a saviour who gave up His Godly status to be like one of us, and He gave Himself for us because He loved us so much, Remember He is the reason why we are here today, He is the real reason why we celebrate Christmas. A saviour was born for us. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords , He is and always will be, our saviour and our everlasting light in darkness. Jesus Christ.
