Set our Captives Free

Luke 8:26 - 39

8:26 So86 they sailed over to the region of the Gerasenes,87 which is opposite88 Galilee. 8:27 As89 Jesus90 stepped ashore,91 a certain man from the town92 met him who was possessed by demons.93 For a long time this man94 had worn no clothes and had not lived in a house, but among95 the tombs. 8:28 When he saw96 Jesus, he cried out, fell97 down before him, and shouted with a loud voice, “Leave me alone,98 Jesus, Son of the Most High99 God! I beg you, do not torment100 me!” 8:29 For Jesus101 had started commanding102 the evil103 spirit to come out of the man. (For it had seized him many times, so104 he would be bound with chains and shackles105 and kept under guard. But106 he would break the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted107 places.)108 8:30 Jesus then109 asked him, “What is your name?” He110 said, “Legion,”111 because many demons had entered him. 8:31 And they began to beg112 him not to order113 them to depart into the abyss.114 8:32 Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside,115 and the demonic spirits116 begged Jesus117 to let them go into them. He gave them permission.118 8:33 So119 the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd of pigs120 rushed down the steep slope into the lake and drowned. 8:34 When121 the herdsmen saw what had happened, they ran off and spread the news122 in the town123 and countryside. 8:35 So124 the people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus. They125 found the man

from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid. 8:36 Those126 who had seen it told them how the man who had been demon-possessed had been healed.127 8:37 Then128 all the people of the Gerasenes129 and the surrounding region130 asked Jesus131 to leave them alone,132 for they were seized with great fear.133 So134 he got into the boat and left.135 8:38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go136 with him, but Jesus137 sent him away, saying, 8:39 “Return to your home,138 and declare139 what God has done for you.”140 So141 he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole town142 what Jesus143 had done for him.

I know of many people who are in slaved by bondages. It can be with alcohol it can be with pornographic or just being selfishness and self seeking, there is so many ways the enemy try to in slave us. You see his tactics is suttel, if he would appear in front of us and told us to drink this bottle of poison , most of us will rebellion against him. But because his so suttel , he poison us one day at a time. Without us noticing anything.

The Lord said that the enemy was a liar from the beginning, there is no truth in him.

John 8:44

He109 was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth,110 because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies,111 he speaks according to his own nature,112 because he is a liar and the father of

lies.

God send his son to earth to defeat sin and the evil one, He send his son so that we could be free from all bondages. Do you know about somebody who are trapped in bondage or who got deceived by the enemies lies? Well there is hope for us, Jesus died for us and like that man in Luke 8, Jesus can and will do exactly the same for you and your family.

I had a great revelation yesterday were the Lord told me that when we pray for someone to be set free from there bondage of sin were actually In planting the word of God into that person. That person your praying for may not even want to hear about Jesus or God but because your in agreement with God with them the Lord can start to work, we don’t need their approval if were praying for them.

Paul said that:

1 Cor. 3:6 TLB

He said,  “My work was to plant the seed in your hearts, and Apollos’ work was to water it, but it was God, not we, who made the garden grow in your hearts.”

Start praying for those you know need your prayer. Every family has a prodigal and let’s gets serious in standing in the gap for them. Proclaiming the Lords blessings in over their lives and speaking words that will build up and not torn down. Always remember to hate the sin but love the sinner. Pray with me that the Lord will set thousands of prodigals free this coming week, to return to our Lord and the returning to their family. Our Lord is a Lord of restoration and reconciliation; His will be done as on heaven so it will be done on earth.

Lord Jesus we come boldly to Your throne of Justice today. Lord I’m in agreement with other standers today. Lord thank you for relishing thousands of prodigals today, may each of them turn their eyes back to you and see that they are in the land of the enemy. Lord thank you for that they will come to their sense and recommit their lives to You and will return to their waiting families. Thank you Lord for healing thousands of families this week. We pray this in Your mighty sons name Jesus Christ Amen.
