What makes a true Champion?

What makes a true champion? Lately I have asked myself this question over and over. What makes a champion? What is the DNA of a champion? We see a whole list of champions when we read Hebrews 11. The Holy Bible is full off champions. We can even have a look at champions in the world. What did it take to make them champions?

I am a big fan of the World’s Strongest Man. One guy who stood out for me was Phil Pfister, the 2006 Title holder. Here is a short story about his victory:

world_strongest_manPhil Pfister (born May 15, 1971 in Charleston, West Virginia), is a leading strongman competitor, winning the 2006 Met-Rx World's Strongest Man competition and its $41,000 grand prize on September 23, 2006 in Sanya, China. He is the first American to win since Bill Kazmaier in 1982.[2] Pfister stands 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m) and weighs 375 pounds (170 kg).?

Prior to 2006, Pfister's previous best finishes in the World's Strongest Man were fourth place in 1998 in Tangier, and fourth place again in 2001 in Victoria Falls. He placed fourth at the 2007 and 2008 WSM contests, and seventh in 2009.[3] ? While qualifying for his 4th place finish in Victoria Falls, during an event known as the Hercules Hold, Pfister made a verbal promise that he would be the man responsible for bringing the World's Strongest Man title back to the United States. It took Phil more or less 6 years to become the World’s Strongest Man. Even when it seemed that he will never reach that goal, he kept on trying, believing that one day he will reach that dream and won’t quit till it becomes a reality.

It’s so sad that not many Christians have that fight in them anymore. We accept our sickness, marriage problems or financial circumstances and say ah well it’s just my luck, why fight.

Jesus came to show us that we are more than conquerors. We are born with a Champion DNA. When we accept Christ our Saviour as our Lord we unlock that Holy DNA. The word says in Romans 5:5 that God already poured His love and unlimited potential into our hearts.

Why then do we live a sub standard life? The answer is quite simple. Paul said that we should not conform to this world but be transformed into the likeness of Christ. Not many believers want to give up themselves for the sake of gaining Christ, living the life He wants for them and not what they think they may have.

People first choose how they wish to live and then construct And conform their interpretation of scripture to suit their Lifestyle, not vice versa. It is a rare person who has the Integrity and trust toward God to objectively read the Bible To see what is said and then conform his/her life to the Word Of God no matter what the cost.

The world has been salt to the church,Rather than vice versa.

For whom am I living? For Jesus Christ, His

Kingdom, His Name, and His image in the sight of

Others? Or, for myself, my happi

ness, and my emotional Well being? (Craig Hill)

You see it costs a price to follow Christ. It’s not like a Mickey Mouse Club House were anything goes, we are called to be Holy and blameless and not to conform to this world’s ways and solutions. When God called me to Stand for my marriage and start this Ministry it was everything but easy, but I'm so glad He gave me the guts to press forward through all the pain and hardship. A champion is someone who stands up for what he or she believes in and not quitting till that goal is achieved. Where would we be today if Christ didn’t fight for us till the end? Don’t you think your family deserves the same?

Come on STAND, Stand, Stand and fight till your breakthrough comes, and it will…

All the Glory to God and our Commander in Chief, Jesus Christ.
