Isaiah 61:3

and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

Do you feel weary or rundown, do you feel that there are too many burdens on your back. I got good news for you, Take of your Garments of despair and allow your Lord Jesus to put on His Garments of Praise on you. How do I do that?

Psalm 42: 5,8

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help and my God. By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his son is with me, a prayer to the God of my life.

Praise and worship is certainly one of the most powerful weapons of spiritual warfare, the Lord gave us. It’s not only a powerful weapon but also an eternal principle. Praising your Lord night and day can have a great effect on you; emotionally, spiritually and you will certainly send waves into the Spiritual. Speaking from my own experience , when I had a bad day or just felt down and out and negative over all my trials and tribulations , I will not feel like praising the Lord but every time I felt like that, a small gentle voice will tell me to go and praise and worship the Lord anyway. Every time I did that I was so spiritually lifted up and I could feel the Holy Spirit was filling my faith cup to its fullest. After a session like that I felt like running in the streets and proclaiming how great our Lord is. Please don’t take my word on it, go and try it yourself, you will be amaze how the Lord can bless and touch you in ways you never thought was possible.

2 Chronicles 20:22

At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves.

Jehoshaphat in the Bible, was king of Judah between (c.873-849 BC),he was the son and successor of Asa.

2 Chronicles 20:2 -4

20:2 Messengers2 arrived and reported to Jehoshaphat, “A huge army is attacking you from the other side of the Dead Sea,3 from the direction of Edom.4 Look, they are in Hazezon Tamar (that is, En Gedi).” 20:3 Jehoshaphat was afraid, so he decided to seek the Lord’s advice.5 He decreed that all Judah should observe a fast. 20:4 The people of Judah6 assembled to ask for the Lord’s help;7 they came from all the cities of Judah to ask for the Lord’s help.8

Jehoshaphat was in a bit of a predicament, He had enemy armies surrounding him and attacking him from all different directions, not only did he not have enough man power but he knew that only God can help him now , out of his own power they will never defeat this vast army. Why must we as human beings always try all other options before we get to the end of our plans and  realise that only God can change the circumstances. At the beginning of my stand for my marriage restoration, I felt like a chicken who’s head was cut off, and running all different directions ,seeking answers at all the wrong places and not looking up to the Lord for His divine power and insight.

2 Chronicles 20:6 -9

20:6 He prayed: “O Lord God of our ancestors,10 you are the God who lives in heaven11

and rules over all the kingdoms of the nations. You possess strength and power; no

one can stand against you. 20:7 Our God, you drove out12 the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and gave it as a permanent possession13 to the descendants of your friend14 Abraham. 20:8 They settled down in it and built in it a temple15 to honor you,16 saying, 20:9 ‘If disaster comes on us in the form of military attack,17 judgment, plague, or famine, we will stand in front of this temple before you, for you are present in this temple.18 We will cry out to you for help in our distress, so that you will19 hear and deliver us.’

The same way Jehoshaphat cried out to the Lord for His help , I also cried for His help , repenting from my unbelieving heart , and giving myself and my circumstances to Him.

2 Chronicles 20:12

20:12 Our God, will you not judge them? For we are powerless against this huge army that attacks us! We don’t know what we should do; we look to you for help.”22

After Jehoshaphat asked the Lord for help ,the Lord answered Him and gave Him instruction for what the Lord wanted Him to do , dear reader if you commit your way to the Lord and trust Him completely , He will and shall give you His action plan for your circumstance , when I cried out to the Lord in my darkest hour , the Lord came and gave me great hope and told me exactly what He wanted from me, and He told me He will do the rest.

2 Chronicles 20:15 - 17

20:15 He said: “Pay attention, all you people of Judah,24 residents of Jerusalem, and

King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Don’t be afraid and don’t panic25 because of this huge army! For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 20:16 Tomorrow march down against them as26 they come up the Ascent of Ziz. You will find them at the end of the ravine in front of the Desert of Jeruel. 20:17 You will not fight in this battle.

Take your positions, stand, and watch the Lord deliver you,27 O Judah and Jerusalem. Don’t be afraid and don’t panic!28 Tomorrow march out toward

them; the Lord is with you!’”

Well the Lord instructed Jehoshaphat that He wanted him and his army to march to the enemy, and praise and worship him till the victory arrives.

2 Chronicles 20:20 - 25

20:20 Early the next morning they marched out to the Desert of Tekoa. When they were ready to march, Jehoshaphat stood up and said: “Listen to me, you people of Judah32 and residents of Jerusalem! Trust in the Lord your God and you will be safe!33 Trust in the message of his prophets and you will win.” 20:21 He met34 with the people and appointed musicians to play before the Lord and praise his majestic splendor. As they marched ahead of the warriors they said: “Give thanks to the Lord, for his loyal love endures.”35

20:22 When they began to shout and praise, the Lord suddenly attacked36 the Ammonites, Moabites, and men from Mount Seir37 who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 20:23 The Ammonites and Moabites attacked the men from Mount Seir38 and annihilated them.39 When they had finished off the men40 of Seir, they attacked and destroyed one another.41 20:24 When the men of Judah42 arrived at the observation post overlooking the desert and looked at43 the huge army, they saw dead bodies on the ground; there were no survivors! 20:25 Jehoshaphat and his men44 went to gather the plunder; they found a huge amount of supplies, clothing45 and valuable items. They carried away everything they could.46 There was so much plunder, it took them three days to haul it off.47
